In this first part we witness the final preparations for the expedition, Paul Marsh joins us and sees the truck for the first time, and then we drive for four days across Western Australia to Halls Creek, the start of the famed Canning Stock Route. The Canning Stock Route is a track that runs from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia to Wiluna in the mid-west region. With a total distance of around 1,850 km (1,150 mi) it is the longest historic stock route in the world. Once used as a route for cattle droves following a series of wells, it is now mainly used by adventure seekers looking for a challenge and solitude in the Australian outback.
