I trusted the unknown, even though it was uncomfortable.” Maria had a 14% chance of survival after a diagnosis of Refractory myasthenia gravis (MG) in 2021 – a severe and chronic neuromuscular disease. For nearly three years, she was left bedridden, dependent on in-home caregivers, and unable to walk, talk, and breathe on her own.
