SUMUT, KOMPAS.TV - A man known as a TikToker in Medan, North Sumatra, was arrested by police after allegedly assaulting his wife. The perpetrator also allegedly held her captive. The Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested "R," a man with more than 20,000 followers on his TikTok social media account. "R" was arrested at a coffee shop in the Medan Sunggal area on suspicion of assaulting and holding his wife captive for more than three days. The Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head stated that the victim was allegedly assaulted and held captive by the perpetrator when she returned home to get clothes, having previously left the house claiming to have been repeatedly abused. This case also became a public conversation after a video of the victim's family raiding a room suspected of being held captive circulated widely on social media.
