I'll be comparing the brands LAUNCH vs. KINGBOLEN vs. XTOOL - from various price ranges (from around 200 PLN, through the price range of 400 PLN, 500 PLN, 600 PLN, 700 PLN, 800 PLN, and 900 PLN). PLN 1,000 (depending on current promotions and the USD exchange rate) through PLN 1,200, PLN 1,500, PLN 1,800, and PLN 2,000 – and if you're considering something with IMMO functions, up to around PLN 3,000, PLN 4,000, and PLN 5,000 (but I've shown this before, e.g., LAUNCH IMMO ELITE / IMMO PLUS). Interestingly, the XTOOL D8W can read some IMMO PINs :) And reading an IMMO PIN isn't that easy, especially with a tester in this price range :) My current recommendations after years of using all the testers shown: 1. 1. As a starter, the KINGBOLEN EDIAG ELITE – the cheapest, has a phone app, can do a lot, is easy to use, works without internet connection. The downside is that it lacks some RESETS. 2. For something more advanced that works with a phone, the XTOOL A30M is updated for life and It even has a lot of RESETS :) However, it's not very suitable for diagnostics due to its poor "Actuator Test" execution tests - at least in my case. 3. LAUNCH CREADER 2.0 – own screen, lifetime updates. Cons: small display, no automatic procedures, no scan report memory. 4. KINGBOLEN S6 ELITE – bidirectional, CANFD, FCA AutoAuth, lifetime updates. Cons: small screen, intermediate :) 5. LAUNCH CRP919E BT – my favorite from today's tests (if 2 years of updates don't bother you). In my opinion, LAUNCH has the best procedures. 6. KINGBOLEN K8 – great "for years", lifetime updates. Sometimes it does even more than Launch (hybrid Launch/Thinkscan license - recognized as Thinkscan in FCA). Cons: less refined system settings, sometimes more clicking. My rating: 4/5. 7. XTOOL D8W – 3 years of updates, "bonuses" (e.g., IMMO PIN). Pros: CAN topology. Cons: Internet required for PSA/Volvo, slower module scanning, no quick return to session history. As a second tester – great. As the only one – I would choose Launch. Unfortunately, NONE, I REPEAT – NONE of these testers unfortunately has good Polish :( (nor have I ever even heard of any good ones :P ).
