Its toys were scattered across living room floors, in Christmas commercials, in shop windows, and, above all, in the memories of millions of children. Monopoly, Genius, Susi, Super Massa, among many other toys, were part of Brazilian childhood. In addition to toys, Estrela sold moments, entire afternoons spent with siblings and cousins, heated disputes in board games, birthdays, Children's Day, and that unique feeling of opening a new box and discovering a whole universe inside. For a long time, it seemed impossible to imagine Brazil without the brand. However, times changed, the market changed, and so did the children. While new technologies dominated families' attention, international competition grew, and screens replaced some traditional games. The company, which once understood Brazilian childhood better than anyone, began to lose ground. Financial difficulties, debts, years of crisis followed, and in May 2026, something happened that seemed unthinkable for those who grew up surrounded by their toys: Estrela filed for bankruptcy protection. The shock was immediate. After all, how did one of the most beloved brands in Brazilian history reach this point? But to understand how Estrela hit rock bottom, we need to go back much further than the crisis. Before the debts. Before global competition. Before video games, cell phones, and the internet. We need to go back to a small, bankrupt factory in the Belém neighborhood of São Paulo and to a German immigrant who saw there an opportunity capable of changing Brazilian childhood forever. ⎯ 📲 Follow us on social media: 🎯 Instagram → @conhecimentodisruptivo 🎯 Facebook → Conhecimento Disruptivo 🎯 TikTok → @conhecimentodisruptivo ⎯ 🎬 Watch our documentaries and podcasts: 📂 Documentaries | Business ↓    • Negócios   📂 Documentaries | Businessmen ↓    • Empresários   📂 Documentaries | Financial Market ↓    • Mercado Financeiro   📂 Documentaries | Personalities ↓    • DANIEL FRAGA - O HOMEM QUE DESTRUIU O ESTADO   📂 Documentaries | Families ↓    • Famílias Poderosas   ⎯ 🎨 Software used in the production of this video: ● Adobe Photoshop ®️ ● Adobe After Effects ®️ ● Adobe Premiere ®️ ⎯ ⚠️ Important Information: This is an original reproduction from Conhecimento Disruptivo.
