Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today we are taking a look and installing the CURT Custom Fit Four-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2019 Toyota Sienna. And this is gonna be a great addition if you have a trailer hitch on your Sienna already or you're gonna be installing it at the same time because, to tow a trailer, you're gonna need to be able to plug into the trailer to give you running lights, turn signals, and brake lights, and that's exactly what this four-pole harness will do. Now, we've installed it. It uses custom fit plugs, so it does plug into the factory-style connections behind your taillight, and it's going to give you all the functions, but you'll notice that normally, you'll have them down below, whereas this one installs inside. And that's actually my preferred method because chances are you're not towing all the time, so it's gonna keep this plug nice and clean and just prolong the lifespan of it by storing it inside. And when you need to use it, you just simply drape it over your weather stripping, close the hatch, and then you'll be able to plug it in. Now, overall, this is a fairly simple installation. The hardest part is gonna be pulling off some panels and running a power wire up. Eventually, you need to attach it to your battery and none of it's particularly hard. But you may have some questions throughout, whether it be about the wiring, maybe any other towing accessories. And if that's the case, feel free to reach out to us here at etrailer. And I'll walk you through the process on how to get it installed. But at any point, you start to say, "You know what This might be beyond my scope more than I want to tackle." I totally understand. So if that's the case, you can use our Installer Locator to find someone close to you to get this installed, as well as any other accessories. Let's dive in, let's get this wiring installed. Open up your rear hatch, and we're gonna start by removing this threshold panel. Now, you'll find that we have three cargo hooks along here that we're going to pop open. So, you just pull these up first. And then there's a plastic cap that goes over them that's kind of hiding the hardware that we need to gain access to. (tools clattering) So, I would recommend grab a small flathead screwdriver, or a pick, whatever you have handy, and just pry this up. You can kind of go back here and just pop this open, and that's gonna give us access to that 10-millimeter screw. So the 10-millimeter socket, we'll get that removed. (drill whirring) And with that taken out, we can probably leave this in here, but that's at least gonna allow us to pop that out. So, I'm gonna get the other ones taken out and we'll see. (socket clattering) (drill whirring) (tools clattering) (drill whirring) Now, normally, there's gonna be some snaps that are on here that snap it all into place. So, what I'll do is just gonna grab on this bottom side and start to pull this out. We'll see pretty quickly, again, if we need to remove that. But it does seem like as I pull up, (panel clicking) straight up, those will pop out as necessary, so. But, this does come out pretty easy. Just make sure that you have all of the hardware, you know, put together. That way, we'll have it for reinstallation. So now, we can set this aside. Next thing we'll do is remove our taillights and there's just two 10-millimeter bolts that are attaching it. So, we'll get those taken out. (drill whirring) And then there's alignment tabs on the taillight that kind of keep this all in place, and they face directly forward. So with this, just wiggle it a little bit, that'll help loosen it, and then just kind of push it forward. It may fight you a little bit, just take your time. And don't pull too hard 'cause you'll see pretty quickly that we have these electrical connectors that will need to separate, and these are gonna be the ones that we actually tap into with our harness. Just push on the tab, get that separated. And if they do fight you, sometimes these can be a little bit tricky. You can use a pair of needle-nose to just kind of pinch those down and pull them out. So, we'll get this one taken out, we got it separated, we'll just repeat on the other side. Now, to gain access to the plugs and run our wires up, we're gonna pull back our plastic he
