History, historical memory, and historical experience are invisibly and often unconsciously present in the life of every person. History is actively used as a tool for shaping individuals and communities. History is present in modern education as a crucial factor in upbringing, and often as a factor in propaganda. The centrality of history in modern education, politics, and everyday life demonstrates that historical consciousness and historical experience are deeply connected to a person's worldview and worldview. Historical experience is a crucial part of the individual's core worldview. This centrality of history in a person's worldview demonstrates that human existence is fundamentally historical. Our thinking is historical. Our experience is historical. Our practices are historical. Therefore, it is so important to recognize and comprehend the role of history in our worldview. It is important to see and consider the connection between questions about the meaning of life, human existential questions, and questions about the meaning, purpose, and purpose of history. The goal of this course is to demonstrate the profound connection between a person's worldview and historical experience, as well as the internal connection between the meaning of life and the meaning of history. Understanding this internal connection will allow us to understand and construct our experience, our practices, and our strategic life goals in a new way. Finally, considering the historicity of our experience and consciousness will make our lives more fulfilling and happier. In the course "THE MEANING OF HISTORY. Introduction to the Philosophy of History," we will: Discover the importance and meaning of historical thinking and historical experience. We will learn the meaning of concepts such as "history," "the meaning of history," "historical consciousness," "historical being," "historical event," "historical experience," "ontology of history," "epistemology of history," "metahistory," and "posthistory." We will become familiar with the disciplines that study history, historical consciousness, historical experience, and historical memory. We will learn about the profound connection between historical experience and our understanding of our own worldview. We will become familiar with the main theories of history and the most important concepts of the meaning of history. We will trace the development of ideas about the meaning of history and learn to reconstruct the meanings of history. We will learn to analyze historical myths and narratives (examples for analysis will be selected by the course expert). We will analyze contemporary discussions about the role of historical consciousness and historical memory in shaping our worldview and identity. The course consists of four sessions: SESSION ONE.
