Toyota Prius (2017) | Dieser Hybrid überzeugt nach 150.000 Kilomotern | Test mit Tim Dahlgaard

Prius is Latin and means "earlier." Toyota can indeed be proud of being the first manufacturer to mass-produce a hybrid car in 1997. The Germans took twelve years longer to do so – even though Ferdinand Porsche had already designed a so-called "mixed car" at the beginning of the last century, combining electric and combustion engines. At Toyota, the power of two engines proved to be a perfectly healthy combination right from the start. In AUTO BILD's endurance test, the hybrid engine achieved top marks several times – including again now, in its fourth generation. Because the major check at 102,703 kilometers confirmed the Prius's excellent fitness, the marathon was promptly extended by another 50,000 kilometers – meaning the finish and disassembly only awaited after a total of 150,000 kilometers.
