Il primo dei Corni di Nibbio: Cima Corte Lorenzo 🏔 VAL GRANDE (VB)

Finally I'm going to explore the Corni di Nibbio. Rugged and fascinating mountains, which have always intrigued me a lot and which I have finally found the right day to go and get to know up close. The destination of this excursion is the first Corno di Nibbio, the Cima Corte Lorenzo. The path to get there starts from the Ruspesso car park (Alpe Ompio), first reaches the Rifugio Fantoli, then at the Croce fork it continues along the crest passing Monte Faiè (even if on the way there we went around it by passing through Alpe Caseracce), then Alpe Pianezza and Colma di Vercio. From Colma di Vercio the most tiring and evocative stretch of the route begins. You first climb almost to the summit of Carbunisc, then up and down to Sassarut. A little more crest on a very technical path to get to the evocative Pasquetta meadow. From here you can see the last part of the route very well, very exposed, technical and not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo! Once you reach the top the view extends over the whole Ossola, Monte Massone and Monte Rosa in the distance. Turning towards the Corni di Nibbio instead you can see them all well, Pizzo tre croci, Lesino and Proman, which I plan to go and do soon.
