Surviving life in a Swedish bordertown.

Hi, I'm Michael. This one's coming to you from outside my apartment in a small Swedish bordertown, eating chicken wings with kebab sauce, nursing a freshly broken arm, and just talking — no script, no editing, just real. Yesterday I had an accident on my scooter and ended up in the hospital with a broken bone in my arm. On top of that, I'm dealing with diabetic macular retinopathy, which has changed a lot about how I live day to day. In this video I talk honestly about: • What it's actually like managing a chronic eye condition and vision loss • The scooter accident, the ER visit, and the moment no one around me even reacted • Living as a neurodivergent, introverted single dad to my 10-year-old daughter • 17 years in this small Swedish town, and why I still don't call myself Scandinavian • The loneliness of not having many people who really understand where I'm coming from • Some of the stranger experiences I've had over the years, and why I believe I'm not the only one I'm not editing these videos, I'm not chasing views, and I'm not trying to be anything other than honest. This is just me, talking to whoever needs to hear it. If any of this resonates with you — whether it's the health stuff, the loneliness, or feeling like you don't quite belong anywhere — I'd love to know I'm not alone in it either. Drop a comment and let me know where you're watching from. Thanks for spending some time with me today. — Michael 🇸🇪 #SwedenLife #ChronicIllness #DiabeticRetinopathy #SingleDad #Neurodivergent #RealTalk #SmallTownLife #SecondWave 0:00 Intro – Chicken Wings & Kebab Sauce 1:15 My Eye Condition & What's Really Going On 2:45 The Scooter Accident & Broken Arm 4:15 Managing Blood Sugar, Supplements & Daily Health 6:30 Why I Record Raw & Unedited 7:30 Being 53, Looking Younger, Feeling Older 9:00 Growing Up Different – Family & Childhood 10:30 The Accident No One Helped With 12:30 Politics, Distrust & Staying Neutral 14:00 The Medical System & Getting Real Answers 16:00 Dating, Relationships & Being Understood 17:00 Life as a Neurodivergent Introvert Here 19:00 Searching for Other "Waivers" Around the World 21:30 Strange Experiences – The Tone in My Living Room 24:00 Being Monitored – The "Double Take" Phenomenon 26:00 Norwegians, Locals & Small Town Judgment 28:00 17 Years Here, Staying for My Daughter 30:00 Closing Thoughts & Goodbye #SecondWave #Starseed #SpiritualAwakening #Disclosure #Volunteers #EarthMission #Lightworker #Awakening
