This Is What Life Is Like In Small Town Arkansas

Who would have thought this was Arkansas? It sorta looks like it might be a touristy town, but it’s becoming more of a place to retire these days. Lots of old timers come here and see how we’re on the edge of the Ozarks and they see the home prices, and they’re like - you know what? I think I might stake a claim in this county. There’s about 12,000 people here today, and every day someone moves to town. You can’t blame em. Mountain Home is in between two lakes - the Norfork (ding) and Bull Shoals. This was actually one of the first water resort towns in the region because of all the fishing and boating they have here. There’s even a little bit of shopping, and dining and golf.
