Escapade to Upper New England | Keene, NH

It's time to travel up north here in New England, to our 15th state. Known for its pristine mountainous views and respect for individual liberty, New Hampshire is a state that is certainly worth visiting, but relatively less known about than some other New England neighbors. That's why we have a duty on the Coverage Project to visit the Granite State in order to explore those places deserving of some spotlight! Our debut here has us arriving in a more remote part of this state, in the Monadnock region specifically. Powered by a multitude of manufacturing industries and its association with the historical Boston and Maine railroad network, Keene has always been southwest New Hampshire's primary draw for opportunity seekers. This small municipality along the Ashuelot River today is home to a little more than 23,000, yet manages to retain a rather small-town feel of yesteryear. Maybe this is just what happens once you leave the areas under influence of Boston or NYC. Are you just as "keen" on Keene as I am?
