Large Musical Antique Cuckoo Clock George Kuel Clock Co.

I have here a large cuckoo clock made by George Kuel Clock Co. Of Chicago Illinois The Movement is made by Gebrunder Kuner (“Kuner Bros.” In German). George Kuel imported movements and clock cases separately to avoid tariffs that were imposed at the time. This is a 1 day cuckoo clock which has a 4 airs music box that plays every half hour. It alternates between 4 tunes on its music box. I have even translated the titles of the four tunes that it plays 1.) German Flag Song I think that means the German National Anthem 2.) Plum Waltz Which I think may end up being “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies”. Classical 3.) Two Dark Eyes    • Zwei dunkle Augen   4.) You’re My Girl It’s a magnificent hunter cuckoo clock that has been in storage for the past 50 or so years. I have restored this clock to the best of my ability by overhauling the movement with 20 bushings and ultrasonically cleaning both the movement and the music box. All the pivots have been polished.
