Le pitture rupestri di Altamira - storia dell'arte in pillole

Art History in Brief is a new journey by Artesplorando. Here, I'll talk about cave paintings, with a particular focus on the famous Altamira Caves. ▼▼CONTINUE BELOW▼▼ When we talk about prehistoric art, we can't help but mention the cave paintings discovered in various places around the world. Almost all of these works date back to a period between 40,000 and 10,000 BC. This period is known as the Upper Paleolithic, when Homo sapiens prevailed over all other human species. At that time, populations were constantly on the move, hunting and gathering whatever they needed to survive. Caves became places of shelter, but also the ideal place for engravings and paintings. The video is also subtitled in Italian, English, French, and Spanish. You can contribute subtitles in other languages! Follow the playlist to never miss a thing, and leave a comment below the videos where you can suggest works or new topics for us to cover in the future. Your contribution is therefore very valuable 😉 #artesplorando #historyofartinpillole #rockpaintings ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REPRODUCTION OF A ROCK PAINTING ➡ https://amzn.to/2UJvStn READINGS FROM THE ARTESPLORANDO BLOG ➡ https://www.artesplorando.it/tag/arte...
