90 Miles of HO Scale Track - Verryl Fosnight's Union Pacific Wyoming Division

HUGE. And highly realistic model railroad of the Union Pacific's mainline from Cheyenne Wyoming west to Evanston. 300 miles of railroad modeled with over one actual mile of HO track, 90 scale miles! The railroad has been built in a custom-built structure in Cornville Arizona. The benchwork is a steel structure built on several levels so that the layout extends upward in five-foot levels in a "wedding cake" configuration. The top levels are about 10 feet above the lower levels. The engine shops in Cheyenne are fully modeled and the line extends west from there. It takes about 90 minutes to run a train from one end to the other if there are no stops along the way. In normal operation with about 30 people operating it often takes twice as long. We visited the layout eight years ago and at that time the track had been completed and the scenery started. Today perhaps half of the scenery is in, and it looks AMAZING. #modelrailroad #hoscale #unionpacific
