The World's Fastest Accountant: Eugene Amo-Dadzie

This week I had the pleasure of speaking with 100 Metres athlete accountant Eugene Amo-Dazie, also known as The World's Fastest Accountant. Eugene’s career and future are a little different to most if not all of the elite-level athletes and sports men and women that I speak to, where the word ‘retirement’ is filled with uncertainty…  Despite holding the title of ‘the fastest kid in the school’, getting a job and paying the bills took early-life priority over pursuing his extraordinary sprint ability.  2018 saw the Screw It Just Do It moment, and his journey to the World Championships at the age of 31 serves as a resounding testament that it's never too late to pursue your dreams.  Most recently, Eugene won bronze at the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships and the 2023 British Athletics Championships, and competed for Team GB at the World Athletics Championships where he reached the semi-finals and finished in the Top 10 in the individual 100m race, and Top 4 in the 100m relay.
