Seeking Starlight - Hunting for the Milky Way | Lincoln National Forest
After having attended the 2026 Gulf State Camera Club Convention (GSCCC), I came home inspired. Being around so many other photographers and seeing the presentations really motivated me, and I vowed to make more time for astrolandscapes. Here I show a brief overnight trip during a June 2026 New Moon to Lincoln National Forest and go over the settings used to capture a single shot, composite shot, and timelapse of the Milky Way over my tent. It was a great little escape, and I am quite happy with how the shots turned out! My astrolandscape journey continues, and while I'm not the best at it I am content with my progress thus far. I hope this video inspires you to get out there and make your own adventures, it's a big and beautiful world out there!
