Late Night Horror - A Review of the Missing BBC Series

🎉 Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s kick off the year with a dive into the shadows of TV history. Today, I’m resurrecting a bone-chilling anthology series that's almost completely lost to time – save for one eerie episode. Using every resource at my disposal – archive gems, similar shows, and even a little A.I. magic – I’ve pieced together the haunting legacy of Late Night Horror. This six-part series delivered some of the creepiest tales ever aired, from sinister contemporary stories to spine-tingling turn-of-the-century ghostly terrors. Sadly, most of it fell victim to the BBC's brutal junking policies. But with some detective work and a lot of passion, I’ve done my best to breathe life back into its terrifying glory. What better way to send shivers down your spine on a cold winter’s night than diving into this series’ dark, Grand Guignol brilliance? And don’t forget – there’s still a chance to own a piece of this lost masterpiece. The one surviving episode has been lovingly restored, and you can grab your copy here: https://www.tvbrain.info/shop. It was discovering this incredible site that inspired me to create this documentary for you. So, sit back, turn off the lights, and let the chills begin. Let me know what you think in the comments! Enjoy! Crab 🦀 Just a quick heads-up—some of the content in this series is for adults only. Mature themes pop up here and there, so it’s best for viewers 13 years and up. And fair warning: a few of these documentaries aren’t for the faint of heart or the prudish! In this series, we’re diving into TV shows and movies with a cult edge. If they’re not cult classics yet, they should be! Each episode explores their origins, breaks them down, and gives you my take—sometimes spoiler-free, sometimes not. Even if you know the plot, there’s always joy in revisiting a classic with fresh eyes. So, what’s the aim? Simply to share my love for these gems with you, my amazing viewers. I hope my reviews spark your curiosity and inspire you to watch—or rewatch—something incredible. Whether you’re discovering it for the first time or reliving old favourites, this series is all about celebrating the magic of retro TV and movies. I’m not doing this for cash. I’m borrowing snippets from copyrighted material, and while that’s a little cheeky, this is all about sharing the joy. If you love something you see here as I do, go and support the original creators. They deserve it, and it helps keep retro brilliance alive. Every episode is a labour of love—just me, putting it together piece by piece. You’ll see the series grow and evolve along the way. Got thoughts, memories, or suggestions? Share them with me! If you enjoy what I do, hit like, subscribe, and fill your boots. To my regular viewers, thank you for indulging in this nostalgic nugget of mine—you mean the world to me. Now, let’s look, look, and look again at all the delights awaiting us. Enjoy!
