Introduction to the European Investment Bank and its activities in the Energy Sector default
The structure and functioning of the EIB will be presented, with a focus on the energy sector, including examples of projects financed. Sanjoy Rajan is the Head of the Energy Security Division at the European Investment Bank (EIB), having previously headed the Networks and Conventional Power Division and is based in Luxembourg. Sanjoy joined the EIB after working for the World Bank at its headquarters covering energy and mining policy and projects in the Middle East and North Africa, Southeast Asia and South Asia regions. He began his career in the private sector working on energy investments, principally in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
