Elder Felix Ohiwerei, OFR, is a distinguished Nigerian business leader, administrator, and respected elder statesman from Uzebba in Owan Local Government Area of Edo State. Born on January 18, 1937, he is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, where he laid the foundation for an illustrious career in management and leadership. He began his professional journey in 1962 with Nigerian Breweries Plc, rising through the ranks from Manager-in-Training to Chairman/Chief Executive Officer in 1997. His tenure was marked by strategic growth, brand development, and corporate excellence, positioning the company as a leading force in Nigeria’s beverage industry. Beyond Nigerian Breweries, Elder Ohiwerei held top leadership roles across major corporations, including Unilever Nigeria Plc, and served on several influential boards in finance, healthcare, and technology. He also contributed to national development as Pro-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan and Chairman of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission.
