Gas THEN clutch - how to move off properly

Gas then clutch is how you should move off in a car. This is something that many learner drivers are taught incorrectly because of sloppy, lazy instruction. I set the record straight using the official DVSA guide to driving called "Essential Skills" as well as many examples and explanations. I could have mentioned some other points in this video, such as when I use the example of Formula One cars. You may often hear commentators talking about engines bogging down; this is when the drivers have not set the gas/clutch correctly and it causes the engine to bog down (a temporary drop in power) due to the revs not being high enough before engaging the clutch. I know that F1 cars use hand clutches, by the way. I just couldn't get one in my Fiesta to demonstrate that! The end screen looks strange because YouTube used to have a thing called annotations where you could put boxes around video on the screen to link to other videos but it's since changed. ► Part 2 of this video - https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&vide... ► Watch driving tests with commentary    • Driving tests with commentary   ► Master clutch control -    • Clutch control driving lesson. Learn how t...
