Disciple of Ustad Munawar Ali Khan Sahab (Son of Padma Bhushan Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab) & his son Ustad Raza Ali Khan of Kasur Patiala Gharana. Adnan Salem is a qualified civil engineer, Former State Coordinator for Government of India - RGI projects in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Adnan is the first ghazal singer from the world to perform in Turkey. He is also the first ghazal singer from South India to perform at "The Nehru Centre," High Commission of India in London, UK. Has given successful ghazal concerts at Muscat Indian Embassy in Doha Qatar and recently performed in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada. Has performed at prestigious platforms in India at "IICC - India Islamic Cultural Centre" & at "IIC - India International Centre" in New Delhi and other cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore Music Festival etc. Adnan Salem is also the founder of "Bazm-e-Ghazal" in Hyderabad, which conducts 8 events in a year, 6 Ghazal - 1 Sufi Qawwali & One Kul-Hind Urdu Mushaira.
