Thoomani Maadathu Margazhi was always special growing up! Early morning temple visits, carefully walking around the beautiful kolams, attending kutcheris and having sabha food and most importantly, singing thiruppaavais. Out of all the thiruppavais I had learnt in childhood, this one always stood out for some reason. Every year, I’d get excited to listen to the different renditions of ‘Thoomani Maadathu’, but I finally wanted to sing this by myself for once because it’s too nostalgic!
