Nathaniel Williford. That’s a name destined for the trumpet history books. We first met at an ITG conference when he was just 14 and already showing tremendous promise. Now at 17 he’s absolutely playing on a professional level, and he’s also a really warm-hearted, humble and supportive peer to everyone around him. We spent lots of time together in the Lotus room at this year’s ITG, and had so much fun working together, bringing his playing to a higher level of sophistication.
