Today, I had the honour of commissioning a newly tarmacked road in the Kiang'ombe area and joining residents of Kamenu Ward in Thika Sub-County for the distribution of improved kienyeji chicks to local farmers. The new road is more than just infrastructure—it is a gateway to faster transport, safer travel, easier access to markets, and greater economic opportunities for families and businesses. Quality roads stimulate trade, improve mobility, and open up communities for investment and growth. At the same time, distributing improved kienyeji chicks is part of our commitment to empowering farmers, enhancing food security, and creating sustainable sources of income.
