Making a Turntable Idler
A friend of mine collects old Garrard record players. Last year he asked me to make him a replacement idler wheel for an old Garrard, and so I made him one that would functionally replace it as the original equipment parts are cost prohibitive and a bit of a pain to get in Canada. He got himself another similar unit and asked me to make him another wheel for this one so we step through the operations to make a new wheel that won't have rubber hardening issues. In the process I made up a measured drawing, so if anyone has an old Garrard and would like the plan for this project just send me an email. We'll see what we can come up with. Thanks for stopping by!
