I Bought The Ricoh GRIV Monochrome And Here My First Impressions

I bought the Ricoh GR IV Monochrome in 2026 and took it with me on a short trip, some music shooting, and everyday walks. This isn’t a full review—it’s a set of first impressions from actually using the camera in real situations. Shooting only black and white is a very different experience. It simplifies things, but it also limits you in ways you feel quickly. The GR4 Monochrome is small, discreet, and very capable, especially for street and low-light work. The files have a certain depth and character that’s hard to ignore. At the same time, giving up colour isn’t something I take lightly. For most people, it probably won’t make sense.
