Our guests today, Natalia and Andrey, moved from Moscow to Vidnoye, a small town in the Moscow region. Their perspective on life in this small town surrounded by picturesque nature was particularly interesting because, firstly, they overcame the stereotype of "there's no life beyond the Moscow Ring Road" and decided to try something completely new. Secondly, they encountered a number of unfamiliar challenges and overcame them. However, fate had another major test in store for them: late last year, it became known that the infamous Moscow Ring Road alternate route—a toll highway being built literally under the windows of high-rise buildings and through the private homes of Vidnoye residents—would pass through Vidnoye. These mansions are condemned to demolition, and residents of apartment buildings will have to come to terms with living on the first line of a highway designed primarily for trucks.
