I was strongly warned about her, as she might set a trap for me. The former editor-in-chief of SPIEGEL and self-proclaimed AfD expert knows how to steer conversations and appears more harmless than she secretly is. Nevertheless, I was looking forward to the conversation and approached it with as little prejudice as possible. For three hours, we talked about journalism, the AfD, and my responsibility as a podcast host. We had a heated discussion about whether I was actually acting irresponsibly by simply letting Björn Höcke talk. Who actually owns the microphone in a democracy. And whether Saskia Esken's call for an advertising boycott from the Bundestag was justified. In the end, she offered a perspective and explained why "women haven't even started to overreact yet."
