The Akwa Ibom International Airport, also known as the Victor Attah International Airport, is located in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. It opened on September 23, 2009, and the first scheduled passenger service commenced on December 2, 2009, with flights to Abuja and Lagos. The airport has plans for expansion, including the construction of a cargo terminal, a permanent international passenger terminal building, and an airport hotel.
