In this video, we show one of the most complex projects we've ever undertaken—a glazing project in the Nordic Art Nouveau style. It involves 15 wooden windows plus a French balcony. And each window is a different size! We explain how modern wooden windows differ from those of twenty years ago. Many people still think that wood means cracks, drafts, and street noise. In fact, modern technology allows wooden windows to be airtight, heat- and sound-proofed. In these respects, they are in no way inferior to high-quality PVC profiles, and often have a better aesthetic. The apartment is currently undergoing renovation, and the windows were installed first. Dust, dirt, and accidental impacts—all of these can damage newly installed windows. That's why we applied a special protective film. It minimizes construction dust from entering the mechanisms and protects the profile from scratches and accidental impacts. And one last important tip: after the renovation is complete, we recommend a deep cleaning of the window fittings. Even with film, some dust can get inside the mechanisms, and it's best to remove it to ensure your windows continue to operate smoothly for years to come.
