Fort Lowell VIVA Corridor
VIVA stands for Violence Interruption and Vitalization Action. Throughout Tucson, VIVA “hotspots” are areas where police and city agencies coordinate resources and attention to reduce crime and strengthen neighborhoods. The Fort Lowell corridor is the largest of these hotspots, stretching from Oracle Road east past North 1st Avenue. In this short documentary, we follow Lieutenant Dominguez as he connects with community members, works to prevent crime, and supports the revitalization of businesses along Fort Lowell in Tucson.
