By 2019, just 5 years later after launch- Amazon had already sold 100 million Alexas (which is close to how fast the iPhone sold when it was released) , and had managed to make Google and Apple sprint to play catch up. Another revolution, right? More than Alexa, we were crazy for IoT in the 2010s. And so we bought smart locks, smart lamps, smart bulbs, smart strips, smart Wifi? Smart toilets- These were never too cheap, by the way. It seems that the tech behind those devices has been around for years, but they still haven’t gotten cheaper- and definitely not a standard.
