What Makes Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker The Best PSP Game?
During the development of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, the team came up with the idea for another PSP title to follow it up, and development on this sequel would begin shortly after MPO was released. And while Hideo Kojima had originally planned to leave the project in the hands of the MPO team, he wanted to make the game’s message more clear for a younger demographic, opting to join the team as the project director shortly after development began, meaning that he was working on both this new PSP title and Metal Gear Solid 4 at the same time. This project would come to be known internally as “Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker”, but the team would end up dropping the numbered title as they didn’t feel it was right to put a numbered entry on a handheld system, simply titling it “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker” instead. Kojima and the team wanted this to be the largest Metal Gear game to date, so they gave it a lot of time in the oven, with the game eventually being released in April of 2010. So would Peace Walker be able to meaningfully build upon the handheld format that Portable Ops brought to the table, or would the game be held back by the split development focus between it and the then newest numbered entry? Well, let’s talk about it. Full Metal Gear Series: • A First Timer's Journey Into Metal Gear Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a 2010 stealth game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. It is the seventh Metal Gear game written, directed, and designed by Hideo Kojima, and the fifth installment of the Metal Gear Solid series, as well as the fourth Metal Gear game made specifically for the PlayStation Portable, following Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. A remastered version of the game titled Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - HD Edition was later released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in North America and Europe and as a stand-alone retail release in Japan. ✪ CONNECT WITH ME ✪ Subscribe ➤ / @thatcholeguy Membership ➤ / notcoledrakulich Twitter ➤ / coledrakulich Discord ➤ / discord TikTok ➤ / notcoledrakulich Patreon ➤ / notcole #metalgearsolid #metalgearrising #metalgear #metalgearsolidvthephantompain #metalgearsolid3 #metalgear #metalgearsolid4
