Big Red Camaro vs. 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

In February 2014, Hot Rod Magazine invited the Big Red Camaro out to face off against Chevrolet's new 2014 Z-28 Camaro. Big Red has never been one to back down from a challenge and to pit the Generation 1 Camaro against the new Generation 5 was too good an opportunity to pass up. The Big Red team braved one of the worst ice storms on record and made the trip out to the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama to attend the challenge. With the freezing temperatures came poor track conditions, and the new Z/28 had a huge advantage with all its modern traction control systems - Big Red had her work cut out for her. Unfortunately the less than ideal conditions held Big Red back from reaching her full potential in what would be a classic duel on a truly great road course, but she still managed to give her descendant one hell of a run for its money.
