A consumer purchased headphones from an e-commerce platform and received a notification that the package had been placed at their doorstep. However, upon opening the door, they found the package empty. Reviewing security camera footage, it appeared the delivery driver had taken a picture of the package, reported it, and then put it back in the truck. The consumer was stunned and posted the footage on social media. Only then did the driver call to apologize, but he insisted he had put the package in the wrong place and wanted to replace it. After discovering the consumer's post online, the company rushed to the home to apologize, admitting the driver had lost the package and had taken a picture of another one to report it.
