March 26, 2026, MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR PIANTEDOSI ATTENDED THE CEREMONY This morning, 773 firefighter students from the 101st course swore allegiance to the Italian Republic in the presence of Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, who greeted the students lined up in the historic square of the Capannelle Central Fire Fighting Schools. Attending the ceremony were Undersecretary of State for the Ministry of the Interior Emanuele Prisco, Head of the Fire Department Attilio Visconti, and Head of the National Fire Brigade Eros Mannino. The solemnity of the moment was accompanied by the music of the National Fire Brigade Band, composed of 40 members and conducted by Maestro Donato Di Martile, with the participation of tenor Francesco Grollo, who thrilled those present with his singing. Before the swearing-in ceremony began, the evocative rituals of blessing the helmets and passing the qualifications took place, symbolic steps that mark the students' transformation into operational firefighters. Chief Mannino greeted the students: "Dear Firefighters of the 101st Course, you are joining a great team. The State has entrusted the National Corps with its noblest institutional mission: to rescue those in danger. Remember that in the most delicate moments of people's lives, you represent the face of the institutions. Your uniform must be worn with pride and respect, because colleagues who spared no effort before you have honored it. Come on, guys, you are our future!" At the end of the ceremony, the Drago AW139 helicopter made a spectacular flyover over the Central Fire Schools of Rome Capannelle.
