SAVING Over $2000 Dollars by Building My Own SOLID Wood Standing Desk | Easy DIY Home Office

Today I'm building my new office desk using a solid butcher block top from Lowe's and adjustable standing desk legs from Amazon. I'm in the middle of setting up the house and office here on the homestead (moving is no joke 😅), and I wanted something functional, good-looking, and built with my own hands. If an idiot like me can do it, you can too! I walk you through the full process: prepping and staining the butcher block with Watco Danish Oil in natural (multiple coats for that deep rich color), then assembling the adjustable legs and precisely mounting everything. This replaces my old marble top desk that arrived damaged in shipping. The natural Danish oil finish turned out amazing, and having a desk that goes up and down is actually pretty handy even if I'm not a full-time standing desk guy.
