Geology of Sunset Crater & The San Francisco Volcanic Field- Arizona's ACTIVE Volcanoes

In this episode of Solomon's Outdoor Adventures, Solomon explains the geology of Arizona's ACTIVE Volcanoes- including Sunset Crater, the San Francisco Volcanic Field, SP Crater, and San Francisco Mountain. The San Francisco Volcanic Field is located in north-central Arizona in the vicinity of Flagstaff, and is composed of over 600 individual volcanoes (most of which are Cinder Cones). The Volcanic Field is still active, and it experienced a spectacular eruption in 1085 CE at Sunset Crater, less than 1,000 years ago. I am a full-time science teacher and graduate student, so please forgive me if I do not get a video out every month :) Thank you for your patience!!! This channel is a one-man team, and I work hard to do my own research, write my own script, record my own voiceovers, film my own footage, and design my own animations and visuals to get these videos out to everyone. I NEVER use AI in my videos and I try my best to not use stock footage (I only use it in very rare cases), as I pride myself on my videography. Sources I consulted to research this video will be written out at the end of the video.
