In this video, I teach you how to make a Chicken Stroganoff that combines the recipes of my two grandmothers. Ingredients: 500g of chicken breast, cut into medium cubes; 100g of bacon, cut into medium cubes; 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika; 1 teaspoon of hot paprika; A handful of basil leaves; A handful of chopped parsley; 1 can of peeled tomatoes, roughly chopped; 300ml of water; 1 level dessert spoon of Dijon mustard; 2 tablespoons of ketchup; 1 onion, cut into small cubes; 200g of button mushrooms, cut into quarters; 1 can of corn; 1 cup of hearts of palm, cut into cubes; 1 carton of heavy cream; 1 ladle of cognac; A pinch of chili pepper; Salt and pepper to taste; Preparation method: 1- In a bowl, add the chicken breast cubes and season with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside. 2- In a wok-style pan, add the bacon and toast. 3- Remove the bacon and set aside. 4- In the same pan with the bacon fat, add the chicken cubes in a single layer and toast/grill on both sides. 5- Add the onion and sauté. 6- Add the mushrooms and sauté. Add the cognac to a metal ladle with a long handle and place it over a lit burner. When it ignites, add it to the sautéed mixture and flambé. 7- Return the bacon and add the hearts of palm and corn. Mix. 8- Add the peeled tomatoes and water and let it cook for 5 minutes. 9- Add the ketchup, chili pepper, and parsley. 10- Add basil leaves and mix. 11- Turn off the heat and add the Dijon mustard and heavy cream. 12- Mix well. 13- Serve with potato chips or shoestring potatoes and enjoy!
