🚇 Ride the MBTA ("the T") Green Line C from Boylston to Tappan St, June 2022 [4K]

The Green Line is a light rail system run by ‪@thembta‬the MBTA ‪@thembta‬ (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) in the Boston, MA, metropolitan area. It is the oldest Boston rapid transit line, with tunnel sections dating from 1897, the oldest subway in North America. It runs underground through downtown Boston, and on the surface into inner suburbs via 4 branches on several radial boulevards that are the remnants of a large streetcar system, which began in 1856 with the Cambridge Horse Railroad and consolidated into the Boston Elevated Railway several decades later. It is the third most heavily used light rail system in the country. It was assigned the green color in 1967 during a systemwide rebranding because several branches pass through sections of the Emerald Necklace of Boston. We get on at Boylston station and ride the Green Line C west to Tappan St station. Check out 17:59 as we emerge from underground. Oops! It was an express train to Cleveland Circle, so we have to switch trains at Washington Sq in order to get off at Tappan St station.
