ISLA HOLBOX | Swimming with WHALE SHARKS!!!

Day two: We slept like babies our first night sleeping in a tent near the beach on Isla Holbox Up an early with the sun at 6:30am to catch the boat to go swimming with Whale sharks, the largest fish in the world. The boat ride from Isla Holbox was long and incredibly bumpy let's just say we caught air over a couple massive waves on our way out. The scenery of the uninhabited and non-touristy areas of the Isla Holbox is populated with so much wildlife and depend on the ocean for everything. Our guides were very conscious of this and made sure that everyone on the tour knew about the fragile environment and how it is up to tourists and humans to help keep the balance and allow future generations to feel and experience swimming with the whale sharks. We were lucky enough to swim with these magnificent gentle giants and spend time with them. What a once in a lifetime experience that you can only experience on Isla Holbox.
