Rachel & Knut Petters Cumbrian - Norwegian Wedding

One of our favourite things about weddings is their diversity. Although they all share the same key parts, the details are always different yet always beautiful! Rachel and Knut Petter’s wedding was testament to this, bringing together two wonderful people with two nationalities, and perfectly uniting aspects of weddings from both cultures. It was such an amazing day to be involved in, and we learnt a lot of Norwegian traditions that definitely enriched an already brilliant day! We spent our morning at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa, Penrith, with Rachel and her fantastic team of bridesmaids preparing for the day ahead, before heading over St Andrew’s Church in Mirehouse, Whitehaven, for a moving ceremony, made even more special as Rachel’s childhood Vicar was able to lead the service reviving fond memories for all. We had the privilege of spending time with Rachel and Knut Petter on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake on route to the reception, allowing them a moment to enjoy the stunning area in which they so recently tied the knot before heading back to Penrith for food, fun and an evening filled with dancing and joy! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Oftedal and thank you so much for asking us to capture such a special day for you both!
