While her behavior was somewhat mysterious in the days leading up to the disappearance, Mekayla had a reputation as being responsible and consistent, and did not seem to make any preparations for a long-term trip or disappearance. Most spookily of all, much of her activity that day was caught on multiple surveillance cameras around town, yet she still disappeared without a trace, and remains missing to this day.
