Farmers earn income by taking the sugarcane crop to the factory or extracting juice from the stalks and making jaggery. However, the financial results for the farmer in this process are nominal. In this context, farmer Pamuleswara Rao from Venkatapalem village, Thullur mandal, Guntur district, is earning a net income of Rs. 80,000 per acre by selling sugarcane stalks in towns for juice. As crops are grown depending on chemical fertilizers, the soil hardens and the plants are unable to absorb the applied fertilizers, resulting in a gradual decline in crop yields. Observing this, farmer Pamuleswara Rao made the use of Avanisuddhi part of his cultivation. The farmer realized that due to its use, the movement of beneficial microorganisms and earthworms in the soil increased and the soil became loose. The farmer is hopeful that he can achieve a yield of 60 tons per acre by saying that 7 seedlings have appeared in each cane. Let's find out the full details in this story.
