Jordélia Pereira Barbosa was sentenced to 66 years in prison for the murder of the siblings by sending them a poisoned Easter egg. The trial also resulted in a court order for her to pay over R$ 800,000 in damages to the victims' parents. Jordélia sent the lethal gift during Easter festivities. She was the ex-wife of the children's mother's new boyfriend and meticulously planned every detail to carry out her revenge, motivated by jealousy.
