Dead Horse Point State Park, Moab, Utah! Amazing Rock Peninsula With A Fun Trail Going All Around!

Dead Horse Point State Park Has Easy Trails Going All Around It & You Can’t Get Lost Because You Can Only Go From One Edge To The Other. A Road Also Runs Right Down The Middle To The Parking Lot With The Most Beautiful Panoramic Views Of The Colorado River. You Can Also See Canyonlands National Park From The Desert Plateau. The Trail Around The Main Overlook Are paved. The Extensive Hiking & Mountain Biking Trails Are Not. While It’s Mostly Flat, You’ll See In The Video That You Will Still Be Rock Scrambling, Climbing, & Doing Lot’s Of Jumping & Stairs. We Did Get Off Trail A Bit Which Is Easy To Do. Just Backtrack Till You See The Painted Marks On The Rocks. It The Distance On One Side You Can See Salt Evaporating Pools & A 2,000 Foot Drop Canyon On The Other Side Of The Park. You Can Also Camp Here. For Obvious Desert Summer Heat Temperatures Such As When We Went In August…. Spring & Fall Are The Best Times To Visit! It Was 115 Degrees The Day We Were There & It Got Hotter As The Sun Baked The Red Rocks. We Started At Sunrise & Stayed Till About Noon. We Went Through More Water Then We Had On Other Hikes. Keep Extra In Your Car. The Visitor Center Was Amazing. They Had Drinks As We’d Emptied The Extra Water In Our Car So We Were Excited To Get Water There. The Gifts & Posters As Well As Museum Were Great. They Even Had A Dog Stamp For Our Puppies Travel Post Card!! That Was A Highlight For Liberty. Then She Promptly Took An 8 Hour Nap Before Bedtime! I’d Definitely Hike This State Park Again. On The Way There & Back You Can Stop & See All The Petroglyphs All Along The Highway Walls. There Is Pull Offs & Signs To Explain Them. That Was Definitely Amazing To See. They Are All Over Utah!
