'Los Fusilamientos' de Goya · El Auriga del Arte

Today's chapter is dedicated to one of the most distinguished, influential, and transcendental figures in the entire history of art: Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Fuendetodos, Zaragoza, 1746 - Bordeaux, France, 1828), the artist who marked the beginning of contemporary art, the precursor to the avant-garde movements of the 20th century. After a brief overview of his artistic career, we will focus on one of his most famous works: The Executions on Príncipe Pío Mountain, also known as "The Third of May in Madrid" or "The Executions."
