Yamada YS F 120 test run after rebuild
Yamada (or well known in US as Futaba) 4 stroke engines is quite rare things you can find. It's quite expensive new and still relatively expensive in repairing if you are bought it used. There is an simple explanation - Yamada engines are so beautifully constructed and produced with real Japanese quality of craftsmanship, so it couldn't be cheaper. It's quite complicated from the point of construction, as well, as they are very sophisticated engines. It's not easy to tune this engines, especially after complex rebuild and changing parts. But, this engines are the most powerful in their class, showing highest possible top end rpm's with a heavy props and I was very surprised, how it could idle ! Yamada engines likes higher Nitro (up to 30%) content in fuel mix, than most of others. Good synth oil with 18-20% content would grant you sufficient lubrication. Don't allow your Yamada to run on lean fuel mix ! Definitely, highly recommended to watch this video. Thank you for watching CrazyEngines and have a nice day !
