#nightblessingfatherrobson, #nightblessing, #nightprayer Night Prayer – WEDNESDAY - May 29, 2024 - Father Robson de Oliveira Reflection – “The glory of God also involves suffering and hardship” Faced with the ignorance of the sons of Zebedee, James, and John, who sought a place of honor in the glory of heaven, Jesus instructed them with the truth: “Whoever wants to be great must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.” Our human mindset also leads us to magically strive for the best, without burden or sacrifice, to achieve what we desire. Jesus, then, in His wisdom, opens our eyes and shows us that our journey to the glory of heaven is a one-way street, but it also depends on the brother or sister who walks with us. We journey to find the glory of God when we are in service to our brothers and sisters and do not usurp their place. The brother who comes to us to serve us is also seeking the glory of heaven. The glory of God also implies suffering and hardship. Being on Jesus' side also suggests giving and serving others. Likewise, we need to allow ourselves to be served by our brothers and sisters, because often, out of pride, we refuse to accept the help of those who come to our aid, and we do not welcome them, because we think that only we know how. The glory of Jesus is manifested in the hearts of those who love and suffer the consequences of love. – Have you placed yourself at the service of others? – Do you accept help from others willingly? – Do you live solely for your own "preoccupations" or are you also concerned with the needs of others?
